Fittonia Pink Nerve Plant, 4-Inch Pot
Fittonia Pink Nerve Plant adds a fine web of pink veins to small green leaves. Its low, spreading habit makes an inviting close-up accent for a shelf or tabletop, especially where humidity is steady. Pink intensity, leaf pattern and fullness vary naturally.
Points of interest and size
- One live pink Fittonia in a 4-inch nursery grow pot.
- A compact tabletop plant when shipped; established plants can reach about 6–12 inches tall and spread roughly 12–18 inches with time and care.
Care guide
- Light: Medium to bright indirect light supports colorful veins. Keep out of harsh direct sun, which can scorch leaves; very dim spots slow growth.
- Water: Keep the mix lightly and evenly moist, never waterlogged. Check regularly and water as the surface begins to dry, letting excess drain. Avoid letting the root ball dry completely.
- Soil: Use an airy, moisture-retentive houseplant mix with perlite in a container with drainage holes.
- Humidity and temperature: Moderate to high humidity helps prevent crisp leaf edges. Keep warm and away from cold drafts, hot vents and dry AC airflow.
- Feeding: During spring and summer growth, apply balanced houseplant fertilizer diluted according to its label about monthly; reduce or pause in winter.
- Pruning: Pinch tips for bushier growth and trim leggy stems or damaged leaves with clean scissors.
- Repotting: Check roots when the plant fills its pot. If crowded, move up one pot size in fresh airy mix without burying stems deeper.
- Propagation: Root healthy stem-tip cuttings with a node in water or lightly moist mix under warm bright indirect light.
Pet safety
Fittonia is generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs. Keep plants out of reach of pets that chew leaves.
