Make space for the creamy, star-like markings of Thai Constellation Monstera (Monstera deliciosa ‘Thai Constellation’). Its broad green leaves carry cream-colored speckles and patches, each with a different pattern. As the plant matures, larger leaves can develop dramatic splits and openings with a suitable climbing support.

Points of interest and size

  • One live Thai Constellation Monstera listed at approximately 18–24 inches tall in a 6-inch nursery grow pot. Height, leaf shape, splits and variegation vary naturally.
  • Estimated mature indoor height: about 4–8 feet with time, enough room and a support; prune to manage its size.
  • Cream-speckled variegation differs from leaf to leaf; mature fenestrations develop as growth conditions allow.

Care guide

  • Light: Give bright indirect or filtered light to support healthy variegated growth. Avoid prolonged harsh direct sun that can scorch cream-colored areas.
  • Water: Water when the upper 1–2 inches of mix dry, then let excess drain fully. Avoid soggy roots and reduce watering in cooler, darker months.
  • Soil: Use a loose, chunky aroid mix with bark and perlite in a pot with drainage holes.
  • Humidity and temperature: Moderate to higher household humidity helps new leaves unfurl. Keep warm and away from cold drafts and drying vents.
  • Feeding: During active spring and summer growth, use balanced houseplant fertilizer diluted according to its label about monthly; reduce or pause in winter.
  • Pruning: Remove damaged leaves and trim a long stem just above a node with clean scissors to shape the plant. Provide a sturdy stake or pole for climbing as it grows.
  • Repotting: Check roots every 1–2 years. If crowded, move up one pot size in fresh airy mix, keeping the original planting depth and supporting the stems.
  • Propagation: Root a stem cutting with at least one node in water or lightly moist airy mix in warm indirect light. Allow roots to establish before potting; a leaf without a node cannot make a new plant.
