Succulent & Cactus Soil Blend: Small-Batch, Fast-Draining Mix

Give your succulents and cacti a gritty, airy foundation. We mix every batch ourselves using a blend designed to drain quickly, breathe well, and help keep roots from sitting in water.

Portion size and coverage

One portion fills approximately two empty 6-inch pots or six empty 4-inch pots. Actual coverage varies with pot depth and shape; plant roots displace some soil when repotting.

What’s inside

• Quality organic potting soil: A light base of organic matter to support root growth.
• Coconut coir: Helps retain some moisture between waterings.
• Perlite and pumice: Help create air pockets and keep the mix loose.
• Fine sand: Adds to the blend’s gritty texture.
• Volcanic rock dust: A natural mineral addition.

Suggested uses

For succulents and cacti, including haworthia, aloe, and echeveria. For lithops, split rocks, and other mesembs, match the mix and watering routine to the plant’s specific needs and growing conditions.

Tips for best results

Use a pot with a drainage hole. Water thoroughly, allow excess water to drain, and let the mix dry before watering again. Follow your plant’s seasonal care instructions, especially for lithops and other mesembs.
