Peperomia Marble brings a close-up pattern to a small shelf. Its rounded, slightly cupped leaves carry creamy marbling through shades of green, and the pattern varies from leaf to leaf. An upright, compact habit keeps it suited to a desk or tabletop as it grows.

Care guide

  • Light: Give bright indirect or filtered light to maintain the marbling. Protect leaves from prolonged harsh direct sun.
  • Water: Let the upper half of the mix dry before watering thoroughly, then allow excess to drain. Its thicker leaves store some moisture, so avoid keeping the roots soggy; water less in winter.
  • Soil: Use a loose, well-draining indoor mix amended with perlite in a container with drainage holes.
  • Humidity and temperature: Average household humidity is usually suitable. Keep warm and away from cold drafts and drying vents.
  • Feeding: During spring and summer growth, use balanced houseplant fertilizer diluted according to its label every 6–8 weeks. Reduce or pause in winter.
  • Pruning: Remove damaged leaves with clean scissors. Pinch or trim leggy stems just above a leaf node to encourage fuller growth.
  • Repotting: Peperomia has a modest root system. Check every 1–2 years, and move up only one pot size if roots are crowded or the mix has broken down.
  • Propagation: Root a healthy stem cutting with a node in lightly moist mix in warm indirect light; leaf cuttings may also root for some Peperomia, but a stem cutting keeps the pattern of this plant more reliably.
