Dracaena ‘Dhara Singh’ Corn Plant brings fresh green texture to an indoor display with elongated, gently arching leaves. Its upright young stem and spreading foliage create a simple, sculptural silhouette for a room with filtered light. Leaf color, shape, and fullness vary naturally as the plant grows.

Points of interest

  • Elongated green leaves with gently waving edges.
  • Upright growth with arching foliage.
  • A slow-growing indoor plant that can develop a taller cane-like form over time.
  • The cultivar name follows the source listing.

Current and mature size

You receive one rooted plant in a 4-inch plastic nursery pot. Photos show representative young plants; shipping height, leaf count, and spread vary. The source estimates potential growth of approximately 3–4 feet tall over time. Treat this as an estimated mature size, not a shipping measurement or guaranteed result; indoor conditions and pruning influence its eventual dimensions.

Optional decorative planters

For an indoor display, consider our White 4.7-Inch BASEL or Black 4.7-Inch BASEL planter. Decorative planters are sold separately; the plant ships in its nursery pot. The planter opening is 4.7 inches, but nursery-pot rims and shapes vary, so check the actual pot's widest diameter and height for fit. BASEL has no drainage hole and should be used as a removable cover pot, not for direct planting.

Care guide

  • Light: Provide bright to moderate indirect light. Filter strong direct sunlight to avoid scorch. Lower light can slow growth; avoid a dark corner and choose brighter filtered light for stronger foliage.
  • Water: Let the upper inch or two of mix dry before watering, then water thoroughly and drain completely. Avoid constantly wet soil and never leave the nursery pot standing in water. Water less frequently in lower light or during slow growth. Check moisture rather than following a fixed calendar.
  • Water quality: If leaf tips repeatedly brown despite appropriate watering and humidity, consider low-mineral water and review fertilizer buildup. Avoid assuming every brown tip means the plant needs more water.
  • Soil: Use a well-draining houseplant mix and a nursery pot with drainage holes. Shop our Rich Houseplant Soil Blend, sold separately. Avoid compacted, waterlogged soil.
  • Feeding: During active spring and summer growth, feed lightly with a slow-release fertilizer. Shop our 2 oz Slow-Release Fertilizer for Houseplants & Succulents, sold separately. Follow its label, avoid overfeeding, and skip feeding while growth is paused or during extreme heat or cold.
  • Temperature and humidity: Keep in a comfortable, warm indoor space away from cold drafts, heating vents, and sudden temperature swings. Protect from frost. Moderate indoor humidity is generally suitable.
  • Maintenance: Wipe dust from leaves gently with a soft damp cloth. Remove fully yellowed leaves and trim damaged tips with clean tools as needed. Repot when roots crowd the container, using fresh mix and a modestly larger pot with drainage.
  • Cover-pot watering: Lift the nursery pot out of the BASEL planter before watering. Let it drain fully, empty collected water, and return it only after drainage stops.

Pet safety: Dracaena is toxic to pets if chewed or ingested. Keep out of reach.
