Titanopsis calcarea (Mimicry Succulent), 2.5-Inch Pot

Titanopsis calcarea is a compact mimicry succulent with thick leaves covered in pale, pebbly bumps. Its stone-like texture makes a distinctive detail in a small succulent collection. Mature plants may produce daisy-like flowers under favorable conditions; blooms are not guaranteed at shipping.

Points of interest and size

  • One live Titanopsis calcarea in a 2.5-inch nursery grow pot. Current rosette size, leaf tone, and fullness vary naturally.
  • A low-growing rosette that stays only a few inches tall and may gradually form a wider clump with age. Mature clump size is not the shipping size.
  • Textured foliage is the main attraction; flowering depends on maturity and growing conditions.

What you receive

One live Titanopsis calcarea in its 2.5-inch nursery grow pot. Photos illustrate the variety, not a guaranteed exact plant or bloom. Decorative planters and furnishings are not included.

Care guide

  • Light: Provide very bright light and gradually acclimate to gentle direct sun. Protect from intense heat and scorching sun through glass. Low light can stretch growth.
  • Water: Allow the mix to dry fully between waterings. Water the soil rather than the rosette, then let excess drain. Do not follow a fixed 2–3-week schedule: adjust to drying, temperature, and active growth. Keep much drier when growth slows, particularly during hot resting periods; avoid watering a resting plant simply because time has passed.
  • Soil: Use a highly mineral, fast-draining mix in a pot with drainage holes. Shop our Succulent & Cactus Soil Blend, hand-blended in small batches and sold separately; add pumice, perlite, or suitable grit as needed for this rot-sensitive succulent. Avoid dense, moisture-heavy soil.
  • Temperature and humidity: Favor dry air and good ventilation. Protect this potted plant from freezing conditions and prolonged rain. Avoid humid, stagnant conditions and extreme heat.
  • Feeding: Feed very sparingly during active growth only, following fertilizer label directions appropriate to a small succulent. Shop our 2 oz Slow-Release Fertilizer for Houseplants & Succulents, sold separately. Avoid overapplication in a 2.5-inch pot. Pause during dormancy or inactivity and extreme heat or cold; avoid feeding stressed or newly repotted plants.
  • Pruning: No routine pruning is needed. Remove spent flower stalks or fully dry debris gently without damaging healthy leaves or the crown.
  • Repotting: When crowded or the mix breaks down, move up only one pot size during active growth into fresh mineral-rich mix. Keep the crown above the soil surface and avoid a much larger volume of wet soil.
  • Propagation: Grow from seed or carefully divide an established clump with roots. Allow damaged surfaces to dry before planting in airy mix. Avoid assuming individual leaves will root successfully.
