Thai Constellation Monstera (Monstera deliciosa ‘Thai Constellation’) brings cream-colored speckles and patches across broad green leaves. Each plant has its own pattern. Given room to climb, its new leaves can grow larger and develop characteristic splits and openings as the plant matures.

Points of interest and size

  • One live plant listed at approximately 12–18 inches tall in a 4-inch nursery grow pot. Leaf pattern, height and fullness vary naturally.
  • Estimated mature indoor height: about 4–8 feet with time, a support and suitable conditions; pruning can manage its size.
  • Young leaves may be whole; mature leaf openings develop as growth conditions allow.

Care guide

  • Light: Provide bright indirect or filtered light to support variegated growth. Avoid prolonged harsh direct sun, which can scorch pale areas.
  • Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of mix dry, then let excess drain. Avoid leaving the roots soggy and reduce frequency in cooler, darker months.
  • Soil: Use a chunky, airy aroid mix with bark and perlite in a pot with drainage holes.
  • Humidity and temperature: Moderate to higher household humidity helps new leaves unfurl. Keep warm and away from cold drafts and hot vents.
  • Feeding: During active spring and summer growth, apply balanced houseplant fertilizer diluted according to its label about monthly; reduce or pause in winter.
  • Pruning: Remove damaged leaves with clean scissors and trim a long stem above a node to shape the plant. Add a sturdy pole or stake as it climbs.
  • Repotting: Check roots every 1–2 years. If crowded, move up one pot size in fresh airy mix, keeping its original planting depth.
  • Propagation: Root a healthy stem cutting with at least one node in water or lightly moist airy mix in warm indirect light, then pot when roots establish. A leaf without a node will not form a new vine.

Optional decorative planter

The white Basel 4.7-inch planter is sold separately. Measure the nursery pot’s outside width before ordering to confirm fit. Basel has no drainage hole, so remove the nursery pot for watering and let it drain fully before returning it.
