Pink Flower Christmas Cactus – 6-Inch Pot
Pink Flower Christmas Cactus brings branching green stems and seasonal pink flowers to a bright indoor space. This tropical holiday cactus (Schlumbergera) prefers indirect light and more consistent moisture than desert cacti. The 6-inch nursery-pot size makes an attractive tabletop accent.
Points of interest
- Selected for pink flowers, with unopened pink buds shown in the original photos.
- Flattened, toothed stem segments develop an arching habit with age.
- A tropical forest cactus rather than a desert cactus.
- Bloom timing and flower shade vary with conditions; flowering is not guaranteed for a particular holiday.
What ships and estimated mature size
One live pink-flowering Christmas cactus in a 6-inch nursery pot. Pot diameter is not plant height; plant height, width, branching and bud development vary. Photos show a representative plant. Buds and open flowers at delivery are not guaranteed, and buds may drop following shipping or environmental changes.
A mature container plant may reach approximately 12–18 inches tall and 18–24 inches wide, with stems arching beyond its pot. Size depends on age and growing conditions.

Optional planter pairing
For an indoor display, pair your Christmas cactus with the white BASEL 6-inch planter, black BASEL 6-inch planter, white OSLO 6-inch planter or black OSLO 6-inch planter, sold separately. These BASEL and OSLO planters have a 6.3-inch opening. Check the actual width and height of your nursery pot against the planter’s interior fit before ordering. Decorative planters have no drainage hole: keep the plant in its draining nursery pot, remove it for watering, let it drain fully, and empty collected water before returning it to the decorative planter. The plant and decorative planter are separate purchases.
Care guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Gentle morning sun may suit an acclimated plant; avoid harsh afternoon sun and hot glass.
- Water: Water thoroughly when the upper inch of mix feels dry and drain completely. Keep lightly moist during active growth and flowering, never soggy. Do not use a prolonged-drought routine intended for desert cacti. Empty saucers and decorative outer pots.
- Soil: Choose an airy, freely draining mix that retains some moisture. Our Succulent & Cactus Soil Blend is sold separately; monitor drying and adjust watering for this tropical cactus. Use a pot with drainage holes.
- Temperature and humidity: Provide comfortable indoor temperatures, moderate humidity and airflow. Protect from frost, drafts, heating vents and abrupt temperature changes.
- Feeding: Feed lightly during active growth according to label directions. Our 2 oz Slow-Release Fertilizer is sold separately. Avoid doubling up on fertilizer in pre-fed mix; reduce or pause feeding during rest and bud setting.
- Encouraging flowers: Several weeks of long, uninterrupted dark nights and cooler nights in autumn help encourage buds. Protect from frost and evening room lights during the dark period. Once buds form, maintain consistent conditions and avoid frequent relocation. Flowering depends on plant maturity and care.
- Repotting: After flowering, repot only when roots fill the container, using a slightly larger draining pot. Avoid disturbing a budding plant.
- Pruning and routine care: After flowering, pinch or trim segments with clean tools to encourage branching. Remove spent blooms, check stem joints for pests and acclimate gradually after arrival.
Pet safety: Schlumbergera holiday cacti are generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, but chewing plant material may cause stomach upset. Keep plants and potting mix out of reach.
