Pastel Jelly Bean Sedum ‘Aurora’, 4-Inch Pot
Pastel Jelly Bean Sedum ‘Aurora’ (Sedum rubrotinctum ‘Aurora’) grows plump, bean-shaped leaves in soft green, pink, coral, and orange tones. Its branching stems can make a colorful low cluster in a sunny pot or succulent arrangement. The leaves develop more pink in part to full sun; color also varies with season and growing conditions.
Size & what you’ll receive
Ships as a live clustered succulent in a 4-inch nursery pot. The size and color of the plant you receive vary. With time, branching stems can fill out and trail or spread beyond the pot; mature spread depends on conditions and pruning. Terracotta pots shown in styled photos are props and are not included.
Care guide
- Light: Give part to full sun for stronger pink color and compact growth. Acclimate gradually to intense direct sun to prevent scorch.
- Water: Let the soil dry thoroughly, then water deeply and drain. Water less frequently in cool or low-light conditions.
- Soil: Use a gritty, fast-draining cactus or succulent mix in a draining pot.
- Humidity & temperature: Average indoor humidity suits it; protect from frost and prolonged damp cold.
- Feeding: Feed sparingly during active growth with diluted succulent fertilizer according to the label.
- Pruning: Trim stretched stems to encourage a denser shape; handle gently, as plump leaves detach easily.
- Repotting: Repot when crowded into a slightly larger draining container with fresh mix.
- Propagation: Healthy detached leaves or stem cuttings may root after the cut ends have callused, in lightly moist fast-draining mix.
Pet and child safety: Sedum ‘Aurora’ is considered non-toxic to pets and children.
