Medusa Head Euphorbia (Euphorbia flanaganii), 4-Inch Pot
Medusa Head Euphorbia (Euphorbia flanaganii) is a distinctive succulent with narrow, snake-like branches radiating from a central crown. It makes a sculptural accent on a bright windowsill or a sheltered sunny patio. You’ll receive one live plant in a 4-inch plastic grow pot; terracotta pots in styled photos are props, not included.
Size and growth: Ships in a 4-inch pot. As it grows, the branching crown can spread wider than the pot; mature spread varies with light, age, and growing conditions. Each plant has its own natural shape.
Care guide
- Light: Give bright light with several hours of gentle direct sun. Acclimate gradually to stronger afternoon exposure.
- Water: Water thoroughly after the soil dries well, allowing excess to drain. Reduce watering during cooler, slower growth; avoid constantly damp soil.
- Soil: Use a gritty, quick-draining cactus and succulent mix in a pot with drainage.
- Humidity and temperature: Average indoor humidity is fine. Keep warm and protect from frost and prolonged wetness.
- Feeding: If desired, feed sparingly with diluted succulent fertilizer during active growth.
- Pruning: Remove only damaged growth with gloves and clean tools; avoid contact with the sap.
- Repotting: Repot when crowded into a slightly larger draining pot; handle gently and wear gloves.
- Propagation: Cuttings may root after the milky sap stops flowing and the cut surface fully calluses; use gloves and eye protection.
Pet and child safety: Not safe for pets or children if eaten. Euphorbia’s milky sap can irritate skin and eyes; keep the plant out of reach and wear gloves when handling cut or broken stems.
