Why pair them together?
This set combines potting mix, a tool for checking growing conditions, and plant food in one package. It is intended for soil-grown houseplants, not air plants. Always match soil, watering and feeding to the individual plant.
How to use
Soil: Use the houseplant blend for plants suited to a nutrient-rich potting mix, in containers with drainage holes. Some plants need a specialized mix or additional amendments. Do not compact mix tightly around the roots.
Meter: Follow the included instructions for moisture, pH and light checks. Insert probes gently into potting mix without forcing them through roots or hard material. Use readings as a general guide alongside the plant's appearance, pot weight and how the mix feels. Remove and clean the probes after use; do not leave the meter permanently in the pot or immerse it in water.
Fertilizer: Apply only according to your plant's needs. Typically for a 4" pot it's a teaspoon for heavy feeder and a tablespoon for 6" pots for heavy feeders every 4 months, spring, summer, fall only-no need to fertilize in winter when growth slows. Cut that in half for light feeders.

Plants, planters and other styling accessories are not included. Keep potting mix and fertilizer out of reach of children and pets. Wash hands after handling and store supplies securely. This bundle contains the houseplant soil blend; the succulent and cactus version is a separate bundle.
