Points of interest

  • Rose-like blue-green rosettes offer year-round foliage interest.
  • The natural powdery leaf coating should be handled gently, not rubbed away.
  • Color and fullness vary with light, season and growing conditions. Offsets and flowers are not guaranteed.

What ships and estimated mature size

One live plant rooted in a 4-inch nursery pot. Pot size is not rosette diameter. Plant shape, color and fullness vary naturally. Original listing photographs are examples, not a promise of exact shipping size. Decorative planters and supplies are sold separately and are not included.

Mature rosettes may reach approximately 4–8 inches across, with older plants forming wider clusters through offsets. Mature size varies with growing conditions and is not the shipping size.

Care guide

  • Light: Provide very bright light and gentle direct sun after gradual acclimation. Protect from sudden intense afternoon sun. Stretching usually indicates insufficient light.
  • Water: Let the mix dry completely through the root zone before watering thoroughly. Drain fully and avoid water sitting in the rosette or saucer. Use moisture and pot weight, not a fixed schedule.
  • Soil: Use a gritty, fast-draining mix and drainage holes. Our Succulent & Cactus Soil Blend is sold separately; add pumice or perlite if faster drying is needed.
  • Temperature: Keep frost-free and protect from cold damp weather, extreme heat and prolonged rain.
  • Humidity: Average household humidity and gentle airflow are suitable. Avoid misting and enclosed humid terrariums.
  • Feeding: Feed sparingly during active growth using label directions for succulents and pot size. Our Slow-Release Fertilizer is sold separately. Do not combine full doses of fertilizers or feed stressed plants.
  • Seasonal care: Reduce watering when cool weather or lower light slows growth. Do not keep roots constantly wet during hot weather.
  • Grooming: Handle by the pot to protect the leaf coating. Remove dry lower leaves when they release easily and keep the crown above the soil line.
  • Repotting: Repot when crowded or drainage deteriorates into a container only slightly larger than the roots. Avoid unnecessary repotting immediately after arrival.
  • Propagation: Offsets and healthy detached leaves may root after cut surfaces callus. Success varies; avoid keeping unrooted material wet.
  • Pests: Inspect leaf bases for mealybugs. Isolate affected plants and test labeled treatments on a small area because sprays may mark the leaf coating. Mushy translucent leaves can indicate excess moisture; check roots and drainage before watering again.
  • After arrival: Unpack gently, check moisture and gradually introduce stronger light. Water only when the root zone is dry.

Pet safety: Echeveria is generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, but is not intended to be eaten. Keep plants, potting mix and fertilizer out of reach.
